Federal Ministry of Education Team Visits DPPR&S on the Monitoring of Ministerial Strategic Plan (MSP) Implementation.

In order to carry out its mandate of controlling and monitoring quality Education in Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) team paid two weeks working visit to the Department of Policy, Planning, Research & Statistics (DPPR&S) on monitoring of the implementation of Education for Change 2018 to 2022; Ministerial Strategic Plan (MSP).

The intense working visit which started from 11th March, 2020 has the MSP major objective: in ensuring inclusive quality Education; achieving excellent Leadership and Educational efficiency, as well as good governance of educational institutional performance and quality service delivery of teaching and learning.

The team was received on arrival by the Director DPPR&S, Dr. Mohammed Sani Ladan. In his remarks, he told the team that the Boards and Departments of the Education Secretariat were ready with their various reports of activities carried out for submission in line with the MSP.

The FME team lead by Mrs. Ifeoma Ogukwe addressed the participants and explained that the purpose of their visit was to show the modalities of reporting the activities carried out under three thematic areas of access, quality, and system strengthening. All having 10 different pillars.

Towards the end of the two weeks working visit, the Director DPPR&S, FME team and other officials went on a monitoring visit to Education Boards and Departments in order to see the ongoing and completed projects reported on.

At the end of the visit, reports that were submitted from the Boards and Departments were compiled into a comprehensive one and then submitted to the team. The FME Team in turn express their delight to the Director DPPR&S and all participants for a thorough and timely job work done.
